Jazz has always been a part of my life.

My passion for jazz comes from my father. Mike Gilby was a professional jazz trumpeter for over 40 years and I'm thankful for his guidance and wisdom.

I recorded my debut album Now That I Am Real in 2007. The title is refers to Charles Mingus' biography. I think it reflects the stage I'm at in my life and my music at the moment.
